Our Story
My name is Krystal - Owner and Bow Designer at My Bow Chic.
When I was a child, I remember having little frustrations over my hair bows. No matter how high I put that ponytail that bow would never stay up! It was always going to slip down and lay flat on my head. Who knew I'd have these same feelings towards bows after having my daughter? It was a problem that I was committed to fixing!

I started My Bow Chic in November 2021 and what I didn't expect to find was a true passion unlocked. After many attempts and finding that best design for these stand up bows, I finally got the perfect one. One that is lightweight, stays in their hair, holds its shape and stands upright!
Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, I moved to Ontario in 2016 where I met the love of my life. ​Now, 2023, we've moved into a new home across the GTA where we welcomed our son to the family!
If you were to ask someone to describe me with the first three words that came to their head you'd hear friendly, ambitious and over-achieving!

About My Bows
What makes our bows unique?
My Bow Chic bows are measured, cut, pinched and tied by hand. The clips are placed lower than your traditional bow which gives it that perfect "stand-up" bow look.

My bows are made with a stretchy lightweight fabric called bullet knit fabric also referred to liverpool fabric.
My fabrics are ordered from small businesses in Canada, so always know that you're supporting Canadian!
What is a Headwrap?
The big bow headwraps are made with one continuous strip of fabric in three different sizes: 0 -6 months, 6 - 12 months and 1-3 years.
The bow is tied so that the middle of the bow sits comfortably on your little one's head. This method is used to avoid a bulky knot pressed to their head. The headwrap is a nice option for infants as the wider band means there is more surface area while they are wearing it.

Remember the flat side down, knotted side up for the bow to stand upright!

SMALL ALLIGATOR CLIP
The alligator clips used are 1.25" long with teeth. This helps keep the bow(s) on your little one's head for longer
THE NYLON BAND
Made from premium quality nylon making them velvety soft. Each measures 1/4" wide and can stretch to a circumference of 28"
(fits newborns to children!)
